Student Support Services Grant Aid

Academic Year 2023-2024
The U.S. Department of Education/TRIO Programs has established a fund to enhance retention by providing supplemental financial aid for low-income students enrolled in Student Support Services at
Southern Utah University. Freshman and sophomore students with high financial need will be given priority.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be a participant in Student Support Services to be eligible.
2. Students with fewer than 60 college credits will be given priority.
3. Must not be on academic or financial-aid probation.
4. Must follow Student Support Services commitment form requirements (on back of SSS application).
5. Fill out the “Personal Statement” detailing your academic
goals/achievements and any barriers or challenges that you have overcome. Please include any
financial barriers that you are currently experiencing.
