  • BOUNDLESS OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

  • This is an annual scholarship for full-time non-traditional students OR to military veterans who served active duty. You must be a Utah resident and a citizen/permanent resident of the US, eligible to receive a Pell Grant (FAFSA), and be in good academic standing (2.6 GPA). One letter of reference from a faculty member is also required for first-time applicants only. To reapply for the second year, students must have a minimum 2.8 GPA. Applications open April 15th and are due July 1 annually. All parts of the application MUST be submitted by the deadline (July 1, 2025) to be considered.

  • Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be a Non-Traditional student OR be a military veteran who served active duty
    • Must be a Utah resident AND a citizen/permanent resident of the US
    • Must be eligible to receive a Pell Grant (FAFSA) or be able to prove low-income status
    • Must be in good academic standing (2.6 GPA) and have a 2.8 GPA to re-apply for the second year
    • Must be a full-time student

     

    Applicants will be screened for eligibility and may be interviewed by a selection committee.

     

    First-Time Applicants: One letter of reference from a faculty member is required and can be submitted in a sealed envelope, emailed, or mailed directly to: SUU Non-Traditional Student Services, ST 172, Southern Utah University, 351 W.     All Applicants: A Personal Narrative is required. On a separate paper please describe your educational goals and personal achievements, as well as any obstacles and hardships you have had to overcome in working to achieve your goals. Also please share information on your involvement with civic and other community activities and the role it plays in your life.
